The Sack Company recently attended SkillsUSA Georgia’s Fall Leadership Conference (FLC) on Jekyll Island to present to elite high school students from across the state interested in the construction industry.
SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industries with the mission of ensuring a skilled workforce in America. The organization provides educational programs and conferences throughout the year to support career and technical education (CTE) in the nation’s classrooms.
SkillsUSA Georgia supports the initiative of their parent company by holding an annual Fall Leadership Conference to train members of the organization on leadership skills.
Fred Hill, Sack Company Human Resources Manager, spoke to the students at the FLC about resume writing, interviewing and the hiring process within the construction industry. He was also able to educate the group on the apprenticeship program Sack Company offers.
