Camp T&I
Camp Trade & Industry (T&I)was held June 8-10 for CTAE high school programs, including construction and metals/ welding, and to provide instructors hands-on training. Fred Hill, Manager of Human Resources at SACK, addressed a large group of construction instructors from all over the state of Georgia who were attending the camp to educate the professionals on how important construction programs in high schools are, especially now.
A survey done by AGC of America survey conducted last summer shows that 86 percent of construction firms are having trouble filling craftsmen and professional positions, up from 83 percent in 2014 and 81 percent in 2013.
BuildYourFuture.org provides a craft labor map indicating the amount of construction craft professionals each state in the United States will need over the next three years.
