Tyler Wilson Gets Recogition | News | H.A. Sack Company

Tyler Wilson has only been working in his field for six years, but he already has earned the respect of his co-workers and employers. After graduating from Georgia Southern with a degree in Construction Management and a minor in business, Tyler understood the importance of the hands on training an apprenticeship would offer. He joined The Sack Company’s four-year apprenticeship program in order to better understand the details of the trade. Unwilling to set himself apart because of his degree, Wilson still prefers to work on site as often as possible. Through his position as Assistant Project Manager at Sack, he still works closely with his fellow apprentices, starting a weekly study group and teaching continuing education classes. His hard work and humble leadership have served him well both within the workplace, and now, within his field nationally. Wilson was recently featured in EC&M Magazine as one of the “13 Under 30 EC&M All Stars.” This is the second year that the magazine has accepted nominations for “electrical professionals who have shown extraordinary results on the job,” and it’s easy to see why Tyler was nominated. Out of the scores of nominations, he stood out for his work ethic and his willingness to learn every aspect of the installation process. The magazine is the top resource in the field of Electrical Construction and Maintenance and has the respect of all of its 130,000 subscribers. At only 24, Tyler has set himself apart in his industry. Yet, even with this prestigious recognition, his desire to learn and work hard have not diminished. Wilson hopes to continue to work in the field as often as possible in order to stay in touch with the ever changing technology such as the use of intelligent 3D design programs, Building Information Modeling (BIM), to assist in installation and construction. Working with BIM, Tyler says, “is helping our company finish projects ahead of schedule, under budget, and being more efficient more efficiently off and on the jobsite.” Combining state of the art technology and cream of the crop employees like Tyler Wilson leads to the excellence in service contracting that sets Sack above the rest. Tyler’s supervisor, Project Manager Chris Gaskins said about Wilson: “Tyler has shown nothing but determination and the willingness to learn every aspect of the business/trade in and out.” The Sack Company would like to congratulate Tyler for receiving this notable distinction for his dedication to the industry and the business.
