ElectricalServiceHelpers are responsible for working and learning under the direction of experienced Electrical Service Supervisors and Technicians

Reports to: Electrical Service, Supervisor, Electrical Service Technician

Duties & Responsibilities

The Helper is to assistTechnicians with troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electrical systems. The Helper will assist in material handling activities throughout the jobsite. The Helper will keep a clean work area and van and maintain good condition of tools. The Helper will adhere to all workplace safety procedures outlined in the Safety Handbook. The Helper is expected to adhere to all company and site-specific Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) requirements. The Helper may be assigned other duties as required

Qualifications

The Helper should have at least a basic working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction methods. The Helper must be able to work productively under both heavy and limited supervision. The Helper must have a high school diploma or equivalent level of education

Working Conditions

The Helper must be able and willing to work in cold and hot temperature conditions. The Helper must be willing and able to travel to assigned jobsite locations. The Helper must be able and willing to work atypical schedules necessary to complete assigned construction project(s), including nights and weekends

Tools Used

Shovels, tampers, drill motors, band saws, pipe benders, hydraulic punch, ratchet punch, meters, threading machines, hacksaws, ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and other machines and equipment used in the electrical trade

Protective Equipment

Safety glasses, safety-toe rated shoes, hard hat, verified appropriate gloves for task, hearing protection, safety harness, braces, respirators, ground fault protection, and other equipment as required
