Position: Electrical Engineer

Locations: Statesboro, Bulloch County, Georgia; also counties surrounding the primary office location, including Effingham County, Screven County, Jenkins County, Emanuel County, Candler County, Evans County, and Bryan County

Duties & Responsibilities

Create and develop detailed electrical and mechanical specifications for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, ensuring they meet client needs and safety standards; Design electrical systems and equipment, using both technical expertise and simulation tools; Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure electromechanical projects stay on track, within budget, and meet time constraints; Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electromechanical systems to verify that they adhere to project specifications and safety standards, managing the manufacture, installation, and testing of electrical equipment to ensure operational readiness; Design, program, and troubleshoot control systems for automated building operations, such as HVAC and lighting, improving facility efficiency and functionality, developing and testing electronic equipment, focusing on automation and control applications; Develop and implement routine maintenance procedures, conduct system diagnostics, and troubleshoot issues to enhance system reliability and performance, creating maintenance procedures, conducting inspections, and testing equipment for sustained functionality; Evaluate electromechanical systems for energy efficiency, recommending modifications and implementing cost-effective retrofits that align with energy-saving goals, evaluating systems to identify enhancements and improve operational efficiency; Regularly review and inspect systems to ensure compliance with safety and industry standards, conducting audits and updating systems as necessary to maintain regulatory adherence, inspecting electrical systems to ensure they meet safety regulations and codes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electromechanical engineering or any other closely related field. Occasionally (once or twice per month) required to travel to construction sites located within the counties surrounding the primary office location - Effingham County, Screven County, Jenkins County, Emanuel County, Candler County, Evans County, and Bryan County.
